Document shredding is the safest method of disposal for documents that are past their retention date or simply need to be thrown out. Putting personal information in the trash or recycling puts you at risk for data breach, identity theft, and information leaks. Shredding documents professionally is the only way to ensure your files are completely destroyed and no untrustworthy individuals have viewed certain information.

What is a certificate of destruction?
Certificates of Destruction are crucial documents provided by professional document shredding services, offering clients peace of mind and assurance in the secure disposal of sensitive information. These certificates serve as tangible proof that confidential documents have been thoroughly and irreversibly shredded in compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. As a testament to the commitment to data security and privacy, a Certificate of Destruction outlines key details such as the date and location of the shredding process, the quantity of documents destroyed, and the method used. Certificates of destruction are not available for drop off services but are offered after mobile and off site shredding.
Is the shredding process secure?
The shredding process is extremely secure. Our partners are highly trusted within their local communities. They are fully compliant with relevant shredding regulations, laws, and industry best practices. For over two decades Shred Nations has remained loyal to its customers’ privacy.
What are the differences in the shredding services?
Shred Nations offers three main shredding services: off site, mobile, and hard drive. Off site shredding entails a secure truck coming to your location, picking up your files, and transporting them to an offsite facility where they are destroyed alongside tens of thousands of other files. The mobile shredding process starts with a fully self contained shredding truck arriving at your location. Your documents are then destroyed at your curb as you observe. This is the only service where you are able to witness the shredding take place. There is no point during mobile or off site shredding where your documents are viewed or directly handled by the certified shredding personnel. Hard drive shredding is similar to off site. Your electronics are picked up by a secure truck and transported to an offsite destruction facility. After any of these services you will receive a certificate of destruction that certifies the completion of the job.
