Shredded Paper Facts

Are you struggling to figure out what to do with your piles of shredded paper?  There are plenty of things you can do with all of your documents that you’ve destroyed besides just recycling them!  Whether it be something crafty for the kids, or something that will save you money in a different area, we are here to help give you some ideas!

  • Compost – Do you like gardening?  Shredded paper is a brown material, which makes it perfect for mixing with your normal garden mulch to make a wonderful compost for your garden.

  • Animal Bedding – Depending on the type of paperwork that you are shredding, and the type of animal that you have, using shredded paper as bedding works just as well as buying shavings from the pet store!  There is even a way to use shredded paper as cat litter!
  • Crafts – You can turn that pile of shredded paper into a ton of different crafts!  Whether it be paper mache, a collage, or using it as texture on a painting, putting that paper into something artistic could be fun for the whole family!
