Paper shredding is a huge part of keeping your information safe and secure these days. If you don’t already have a paper shredder, or a shredding service, you may want to look at some of the different options you have to protect yourself. There are a few different ways you can make sure your paperwork gets properly destroyed.
- Home Paper Shredder – If you only have a few documents every now and then that you need to have destroyed, then a home paper shredder is the way to go. They can only handle one or two pages at a time, so if you have more than a few sheets on occasion, you may want to think about other options.
- Ship N Shred – This is a service that allows you to actually send a box of your paperwork to a shredding facility. Once your paperwork is properly destroyed you will receive a certificate of destruction.
- Drop Off Shredding – If you have a box or two of paperwork that you need to have destroyed, drop off shredding is typically the way to go. Each place is different, but they all charge right around one dollar per pound.
- Mobile Shredding – If you have more than just a box or two of paperwork you need to have destroyed, this is the service for you. Most companies will also shred onsite so that you can physically watch your documents being destroyed.
