Identity Theft During the Holidays
We are heading into the holidays but don't let this time of good cheer distract you from protecting your identity. Here are a few things do to help prevent identity theft.
- The malls are busy so keep an eye out for pickpockets. Only carry the credit cards and personal information you absolutely need. Leave the rest locked up at home.
- Watch your credit card statements. With the extra use of your card it is easier for fraudsters to go unnoticed.
- If you shop online make sure you are at a website that has a security certificate and lists their physical address.
- Shred all your bills once paid.
